Reading to my 5 yr old

We stopped at Great Clips for a quick trim and all the chairs were full and a few people waiting. I sat down with my 5 yr old and he chose a book off the kids shelf to read. On our walk in, we’d just been talking about banks and why it’s important to save your money. Then about the third book we read together, was a kid’s book just about that. I thought that was pretty cool and we talked about putting your money in a bank all over again - something my son is still not convinced is a good idea given that he can see a dime in his hand and can’t grasp why he’d store it off site or how it would grow. As we came to the end of that story ‘uncle mullet,’ I presume, came over and handed us these coins, not exactly the kind we were talking about, and explained it was for people showing kindness and doing good deeds for others. We are really excited to pass these on and my son is out in the world now scouting for people who are being kind to others. Thanks for making me feel like a great mommy that day and for giving us a chance to observe and give a kind token to others!
